IMPORTANT: Locking the boot block is a one time operation and can be permanently set under Device/Configure.However when erasing and programming the chip the lockout is temporarily disabled andso the contents of the boot block can still be changed by the device programmer.Also it should be noted that ATMEL states in its datasheet the following: Wheneverthe main memory block is erased and reprogrammed the two parameter blocks should be erasedand reprogrammed before the main memory block is erased again. Whenever a parameter block is erasedand reprogrammed the other parameter block should be erased and reprogrammed before the firstparameter block is erased again. Whenever the boot block is erased and reprogrammed the main memoryblock and the parameter blocks should be erased and reprogrammed before the boot block is erased again.’ ‘
