IMPORTANT: Electrically Erasable PROM (EEPROM) with two boot blocks located in the first 8K bytesand the last 8K bytes of memory.Once the boot block lockout is enabledthe data in the boot block can no longer be erased or programmed.You can still reprogram the main memory with different databut your data file must contain the same boot block data that is already in the chip.Device also has a Software Data Protection (SDP) feature to prevent inadvertant writes.The SDP feature is always present and cannot be disabled.


