IMPORTANT: The address range of the boot block is 00000h-03FFFh. The entire chip must beerased and programmed in order to erase and program the boot block.Other blocks can be erased and programmed separately.Once the boot block lockout feature is enabled (Device/Configure) it is permanently set.However when erasing and programming the entire chip the lockout is temporarily disabledso the contents of the boot block can still be changed by the device programmer.Also It should be noted that ATMEL states in Application Note the following: It is criticalthat whenever a main memory block is erased and reprogrammed the other main memory block shouldbe erased and reprogrammed prior to any subsequent erase of the first block. Failure to performthe above mentioned procedure could result in incorrect data being read from the device’. ‘
