IMPORTANT: Flash Memory with 128-bit Protection Register. The register is mapped from400000h to 400007h (buffer locations: 800000h-80000Fh). The first 64 bits arepre-programmed by the manufacturer and will be read at buffer locations800000h-800007h. These bits will be ignored during Program’ ‘Compare’and ‘Verify’ operations. The other 64 bits of the Protection Register are one timeuser programmable and are mapped at buffer locations 800008h-80000Fh. This areacan be PERMANENTLY locked under Device/Configure by setting the option to ENABLE. Ifthe user programmable segment of the Protection Register is locked or is not blankthe device will fail erase. ‘
