IMPORTANT: Dual-Flash Memory with 2 128-bit Protection Registers. Flash Die #1 is a bottom bootdevice and is mapped from 0h-3FFFFFh (buffer locations: 0h-7FFFFFh). Flash Die #2 is a topboot device and is mapped from 400000h-7FFFFFh (buffer locations: 800000h-FFFFFFh). TheProtection Register for Flash Die #1 and Flash Die #2 are selected as a single unit and aremapped from 800000h to 80000Fh (buffer locations: 1000000h-10001Fh). The Protection Registerfor Flash Die #1 is mapped to buffer locations 1000000h-10000Fh while it is mapped to bufferlocations 1000010h-10001Fh for Flash Die #2. The first 64 bits of both registers arepre-programmed by the manufacturer and will be read at buffer locations 1000000h-1000007hand 1000010h-1000017h respectfully. These bits will be ignored during Program’ ‘Compare’and ‘Verify’ operations. The other 64 bits of the Protection Register are one time userprogrammable and are mapped at buffer locations 800008h-80000Fh and 800018h-80001Fhrespectfully. These areas can be PERMANENTLY locked under Device/Configure by setting thecorresponding option to ENABLE. If a user programmable segment of either Protection Registeris locked or is not blank the user should exclude this area from the ERASE/PROGRAM operations. ‘
