IMPORTANT: FLASH EPROM. The 16KB boot block lockout bit can be enabled by usingDevice/Configure. But it is a one-time operation. Once the boot blocklockout bit is enabled the boot block will be permanently protected.You can still modified the data in the boot block by using BP programmerbut once programming operation is done the boot block will return tothe protection mode.
