IMPORTANT: The ID locations are mapped in the Data Pattern byte addresses [4000h-4007h]. It is recommended by Microchip that only the 7 Least Signaficant bits of each User ID be used so the rest of User ID bits are masked out in this algorithm. The Configuration word is mapped in Data Pattern byte addresses [400Eh-400Fh]. Both the ID and Configuration word may be set from Device Configure or from the above mentioned addresses in your data file. The Sum’ command generates the checksum calculation as specified by Microchip. ‘
