Memory Type

Attributes(*)

Included in default Range (Y/N) DUT Physical Word Address(hex)(if this area is selected/Activated) BPWin Buffer Byte Address(hex)
Main Flash Area R/W/E Yes 000000-3FFFFFF 000000 – 8000000
Extended Memory Sector R/W N0 4000000 – 400007F 8000000 – 80000FE
Sector Protection bits R/W N0 4000280 – 40002BF 8000500 – 800057F
Default Algorithm Range 000000-3FFFFFF 000000-8000000

* R:Read only W:One time programmable (OTP) R/W:readable and one time programmable (OTP) R/W/E:readable and rewritable if not locked. Any configurations listed under Device-Specific’ in the menu item Device-> Settings will be written to the DUT during ‘Program’ operation regardless of memory range selection. Special Device Considerations:

The extended memory sector can be purchased programmed and locked from the factory. If this is the case this sector needs to be excluded from programming and verification ranges as this data could have a unique number.

If this option is different than the state of the chip during verification or compare it will cause an error.
If the part has not been locked by the factory the user can treat this sector as an extended memory sector with OTP sector protection.
Nonvolatile Protection Mode Lock bit feature is setup under Device Configure.
Please select ‘Entire File’ under Device Range if extended memory sector needs to be included.Individual Sector protection feature is also present. The sector protection bits are located from buffer address 8000500h- 800057Fh.
Buffer byte address 8000500h will protect sectors 1016 to 1023. The most significant bit of the byte addressis associated with sector 1023. The least significant bit of byte 8000500 is associated with sector 1016.
Buffer byte address 800057Fh will protect sectors 0 to 7. The most significant bit of the byte addressis associated with sector 7. The least significant bit of byte 800057Fh is associated with sector 0.
To protect a sectorwrite a zero to the respective sector protection bit
Example: Locking Group at byte address 8000500h would give 1111 1110(binary) and would protect sector 1016.#
Example: Locking Group at byte address 800057Fh would give 0000 0000(binary) and would protect sectors 0-7.#
Example: Locking Group at byte address 800057Eh would give 1111 1000(binary) and would protect sectors 8-10.#

BPM does not sell programmable devices, nor do we program devices directly. BPM makes programmers and accessories to make programming in-house fast, easy, and profitable.
