Note
IMPORTANT:
Device Type: | Flash and SRAM Combination Memory Multi-Chip Package |
Non-Volatile Memory Size: | 64M-bit Flash with 256-Byte Secured Silicon Sector |
Algorithm Programming Method: | 16-bit Parallel Bus |
Memory Organization:
Memory Type |
Attributes* |
Included in Default Range (Y/N) | DUT Physical Byte Address (hex)(if this area is selected/activated) | BPWin Buffer Byte Address (hex) |
Flash | R/W/E | Yes | 0000_0000h – 007F_FFFFh | 0000_0000h – 007F_FFFFh |
Secured Silicon Sector | R/W | No | 0000_0000h – 0000_00FFh | 0080_0000h – 0080_00FFh |
Default Algorithm Range | — | — | 0000_0000h – 007F_FFFFh | 0000_0000h – 007F_FFFFh |
* R:Read only W: One time programmable (OTP) R/W: readable and one time programmable (OTP) R/W/E: readable and rewritable if not locked. Any configurations listed under Device-Specific’ in the menu item Device->Settings will be written to the DUT during ‘Program’ operation regardless of memory range selection. Special Device Considerations:
Option | Description | Default |
Persistent Protection Bits | Protects each sector from programming or erasing. | 0 (Unprotected) |
Password | 64-bit password to prevent modifying the PPB. | FFFF_FFFF_FFFF_FFFFh |
Persistent Protection Mode Lock Bit | Makes device permanently operate in Persistent Protection Mode. | 1 (Not Set) |
Password Protection Mode Lock Bit | Makes device permanently operate in Password Protection Mode. | 1 (Not Set) |
Secured Silicon Sector Protection Bit | Prevents further writes to the Secured Silicon Sector. | 1 (Not Set) |
Secured Silicon Sector Factory Locked | Read-only option that indicates if the Secured Silicon Sector is factory locked. | Unlocked |
1. | The Secured Silicon Sector cannot be erased but additional bits can be programmed from 1 to 0 if the lock bit is not set. |
2. | The Erase operation will not do anything with the Secured Silicon Sector. |
3. | The Program operation will check the Secured Silicon Sector Protection Bit and Factory Locked settings if the Secured Silicon Sector is included. If either is set the Program operation will fail. |
4. | The password will only affect the device if the Password Protection Mode Lock Bit is 0 (Set). |
5. | The password cannot be erased but additional bits can be programmed from 1 to 0 if the lock bit is not set. |
6. | When erasing and programming the Persistent Protection Bits if the device is in Password Protection Mode the algorithm will attempt to unlock the PPB using the password provided under Device->Settings. If unlocking fails the operation will fail. |
