IMPORTANT: The User ROM area is located at address range C000h-FFFFh. There are 7 ID codes locate at FFDFh FFE3h FFEBh FFEFh FFF3h FFF7h and FFFBh. If the flash is not blank the data at these locations in the buffer must match the ID codes in the device to enable the Standard Serial I/O mode. If the ID codes do not match communication cannot be established. If the device was previously programmed with another set of ID codes a stand alone Erase operation must be executed with correct ID codes before attempting to reprogram the flash.
