Note
IMPORTANT: R8C/2C Microcomputer Flash Memory Version. This algorithm is written in parallel I/O mode. 8K-byte Boot ROM is mapped to 0000h-1FFFh. 128K-byte User ROM is mapped to Data Pattern addresses 4000h-23FFFh. Data Pattern locations 2000h-3FFFh are not used and should be filled with FFh. The User and Boot ROMs are selected Device > Configure. Configure options allow the individual ROM sections to be selected for device operations. Before executing any command at least 1 operations area must be selected. The Boot ROM area of the device has a standard serial I/O mode control program stored in it when shipped from the factory. It is not necessary to program the boot area for normal use the device may fail communication if improper data is programmed into the Boot ROM area. To program the options in the Device Configure Secure must be enabled. Addresses FFDCh-FFFFh of device are special. The address FFFFh of User ROM contains code protection bits. This byte can be set under Device > Configure. If device is secured standalone operations will fail.
BPM does not sell programmable devices, nor do we program devices directly. BPM makes programmers and accessories to make programming in-house fast, easy, and profitable.
