IMPORTANT: Flash memory with 128 bit Protection Register.The first 64 bits of the Protection Register is the unique device identifier. This area ispre-programmed by the manufacturer and cannot be modified. It will be read at buffer locations 400000h-400007h.These bits are ignored during Program’ ‘Compare’ and ‘Verify’ operations.The next 64 bits are the User Programmable OTP cells. These bits can be modified and arelocated at buffer locations 400008h-40000Fh.User can program Sector Block Protection Bit and OTP Data Protection Bit using Device/Configure. If the Sec. Block Protection Bit is set Erasing or Programming the last 4K Parameter block (Buffer address3FE000h-3FFFFFh) will fail. If the OTP Data Protection Bit is set further Erasing or Programming the User Programmable OTP cells(addresses 400008h-40000Fh) and Programming the Sec. Block Protection Bit will fail.Both the OTP Data Protection Bit and Sec. Block Protection Bit are one time programmable.Please refer to the data specifications for more information.Also please note: If ‘Auto Range Detection’ is set to YES the bits in the Protection Register will not be programmed or verified. ‘
