10th Gen Socket Module Pressure Plate Name Added to Socket Module Info

The “Socket Module Info” now displays the pressure plate name of both legacy (9th and older-generation) and 10th-generation programmers. 

Enhanced Blackbox logging for improved Customer Support

The BPWin blackbox now captures additional diagnostic information to improve traceability and accelerate issue resolution. When a blackbox file is submitted to BPM Customer Service, BPM can identify the exact software build in use—including compilation details—along with BP file settings and selected device information such as Algorithm Revision. This additional context enables faster and more accurate Customer Service debugging and issue resolution.

New Bad Block Management Schemes

The Micron MT29F2G01ABBGD12 and MT29F4G01ABAFD12 devices now support two new NAND Bad Block Management schemes — Custom 40 and Custom 41. 

Multi-Partition Support for ASK_BBM_01

The ASK_BBM_01 programming scheme now supports defining multiple partitions for applicable customer-specific devices, removing the previous single-partition limitation.

Improved STPL File Handling

Fixed STPL parsing error by ignoring Frequency statements since BPM Programmers use its own clock defined in the algorithm. 

Custom Parsing for SVF Files

Lattice LCMXO3D-9400HC-5BG256C (SVF) and LCMXO3D-9400HC-5BG256I (SVF) now support custom SVF data pattern file parsing. During data pattern loading the user should load data pattern as ‘Custom SVF’ type to program the device correctly. Other devices which use SVF data file will operate as originally intended, by keeping the default ‘binary’ file type.

Custom Checksum Printing from Intel HEX Files

Devices with “print_master_checksum” algorithm configuration enabled can print custom checksum from the HEX file.

Quality Control for Infineon Devices

Added quality control checks for the Infineon devices listed below based on manufacturer recall data. Users can provide rejection criteria in a csv format which BPWin will use to reject the devices and log it accordingly.

Updated Sentinel System Driver

A recent Windows 11 update restricts older Sentinel drivers, which can cause the laser functionality to be disabled. BPWin 8.0.8 will include the updated Sentinel System Driver Installer, version 7.6.1, to resolve this issue.

  • Windows 11 Support for 3000 Series APS and Manual Programmers

    BPWin 8.0.7 supports Microsoft® Windows® 11. New 3000-Series APS programmers ship standard with Windows 11,
    providing full supported operation out of the box. Manual programmers can also operate with Windows 11 systems.
    Existing 3000 series APS systems deployed in the field can be upgraded to support Windows 11; however, each system
    must be evaluated to determine any required host computer and other hardware upgrades to ensure compatibility.

  • Improved Job Re-Save Handling for Non-Memory-Mapped Devices

    Resolved an issue where BPWin could encounter errors when re-saving a job after running a device operation on
    non-memory-mapped devices. Jobs can now be safely re-saved after device execution without requiring a restart or
    manual recovery.

  • BPWin API WebSocket Notification for Tape-Out Placement

    Added a new WebSocket notification that is generated when a device is placed during tape-out operations.
    This enhancement improves real-time integration with automation systems, dashboards, and external monitoring
    tools that rely on BPWin REST – WebSocket APIs.

  • Intel HEX File Parsing Enhancement

    Enhanced Intel HEX file handling with a new default parsing behavior. BPWin now supports two parsing modes:

    • REPLACE mode (default): Address data replaces existing content.
    • SUM mode: Address data is accumulated as previously supported.

    Legacy job files created in earlier BPWin Versions will continue to use SUM mode. With this release forward the
    default method for HEX file parsing is REPLACE mode.

  • Resolved Overcurrent Condition on 9th Gen Programmers

    Fixed an issue observed on some devices where an overcurrent condition could be reported after the first device
    operation when running in 9th Gen APS mode. Device operations now proceed reliably without triggering false
    overcurrent errors. This fix was already released as Patch 1 in BPWin 8.0.6 DSU31 and later.

  • Improved 9th Gen Self-Test

    Improved the robustness of input offset voltage test sequence (VOS) in 9th gen programmer self-test.
    This enhancement reduces false failures and ensures more consistent and reliable self-test results.

  • Improved STPL File Compilation for 9th Gen Platforms – Resolved a compilation error affecting STPL files that use variable-based delay commands on 9th Gen systems. This enhancement, identified in DSR-19141 with Microchip APA450-BG456I, improves support for delay commands using variables, ensuring successful compilation and more reliable script execution.
  • Enhanced Self-Test for VOS Circuit on 9th & 10th Gen Programmers – Improved the self-test process for VOS circuit testing on 9th and 10th Gen programmer sites. This update addresses cases where self-tests could exhibit false failures related to Vcc and Vpp. As a result, self-tests now correctly pass for adapters such as the FVE4ASMC44BGSC and similar designs.
  • Syntax Error Correction for EPV Operation – Resolved a syntax error that caused EPV operations to fail for algorithm RM48L952DZWTT due to the use of a reserved keyword in the script. The variable name was updated to prevent this issue, and EPV operations for this device now complete successfully. Users should retry the EPV operation for the RM48L952DZWTT to confirm proper functionality.
  • Improved Self-Test Handling for Slave Socket Locations on 9th & 10th Gen Programmers – Enhanced the self-test functionality on 9th and 10th Gen programmer sites to correctly skip tests for pins connected to active circuitry on slave socket locations B, C, and D. This update resolves previously reported failures on certain socket cards (e.g., FVX4G2ASMR40LAPB) when tested on these locations. Self-tests will now pass as expected.
  • Operator Guidance and Pressure Plate Handling Enhancements for BPM210/310 – A new dialog box now guides operators when the Stop button is clicked on BPM210 semi-automated programmer, helping confirm the door lid is closed and motors operate smoothly. Additionally, operators can now use the “Close All Sockets” button to raise the pressure plate even without a socket card installed, allowing for easy removal of the pressure plate when needed. Previously, a socket card was required to perform this action.
  • 9th Gen Diagnostics Improvement – Enhanced the diagnostics process for 9th Gen programmers to eliminate hardware timeout errors during the self-test sequence. This update resolves previously reported timeout issues, resulting in more reliable and consistent self-test performance on 9th Gen systems.
