Summary
BPM Microsystems announces the end of support for Windows 98, Windows 98 SE and Windows Me
Details
On July 11, 2006, the Extended Support program for Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, and Windows Me operating systems has been closed by Microsoft. All users running Windows 98 or Windows Me are encouraged to migrate to a newer, more secure Microsoft operating system, such as Windows XP.
Effective December 31, 2006, BPM Microsystems will not be able to assure either operating systems compatibility or functionality for new BPWin software on Windows 98 SE. Like Microsoft, BPM Microsystems also recommends that users upgrade to Windows XP to assure operating system compatibility with future BPWin releases. Customers who still download BPWin software releases after December 31, 2006, on Windows 98 SE will be using it at their own risk. BPM Microsystems will not develop, test, or warranty the BPWin software in the Windows 98 SE operating system after December 31, 2006.
BPWin version 4.66.0 and future versions will not install on Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, Windows 98 ME.
BPM Microsystems manual and automated programming systems have operated in the Windows 98 environment for over 7 years. However, BPM Microsystems must move forward with our supplier by migrating our products to systems that allow us to offer you newer technologies supported by better features in the future. BPM Microsystems is still committed to providing the best service and support in the programming industry.
